toys for party bags, wholesale?

Hi, for my daughters 5th party i dont want to do the usual party bag of cake and some cheapo plastic toy that breaks before they get home, I was thinking of getting something nice and actually useful. My ideas so far are either a colouring book and a mini pack of pens or some kind of small boxed toy.
Trouble is im not exactly rich so Id like to spend up to £1 on each item. Can anyone suggest some websites or places to look?
Im off to home bargains and b&m bargains tomorrow and keeping an eye on the grabbit page!

Poundland usually does packs of bubbles/ fancy pens/pencils you could split up,I sure I have also seen packs of old maid(snap cards) in packs of 4.also hair accessories can be bought cheap for the girls.
