I'm feeling a bit left out, I don't get these kinds of calls. :(

I've not gotten them personally at my address but I answered them for my parents in law as they were concerned how the scammers knew their name and number. Didn't take long to realise that the scammer knew very little about anything.

I just get loads of calls from indian call centres for insurance etc.

I don't get those either. Only calls I get are from "debt consolidation" firms who want to charge me a fortune for dealing with my debts.

My mum got one of those calls and she told them that her son works in IT (me) and she'll have to speak to me first so i can check her computer.... The bloke on the other end of the phone shouted at her for wasting his time and slammed the phone down.

Wonder if it would be possible to trace the computer they use to connect to yours and initiate a DoS attack on it?
    That would be revenge!
