Mortgage Advice

HI

We have been given a AIP by halifax, the full application was submitted on the 2nd, the valuation took place on the 9th have received the valuation report yesterday everything is OK.

What I would like to know is do the Halifax asses the application before the valuation is done.

We are hoping to complete by the end of the month as it is a new build but dont want to pay sols fees until we know we have the mortgage.

Regards

In normal circumstances it would be underwritten over the next few days (subject to any backlog they have) and you should have the mortgage offer in 4-7 days.

You can postpone the survey whilst the application is assessed with Halifax. Seeing as the survey has been done, they will assess the application and survey all at once.
