Help! Cancelling stolen itunes voucher

Can anyone help? I have the itunes voucher receipt - the card was sent first class with a birthday card to my niece a week ago - not received. Either lost in the post or stolen. Stupidly I failed to send it recorded delivery.

As I have the receipt is there any way of cancelling the card and getting a replacement, does anyone know? I don't have an itunes card so don't have access to apple's help system.

I really don't think you can cancel it, sorry. All these types of gift cards should be treated as cash and so would not be covered by Royal Mail's compensation scheme for lost/undelivered mail, even if sent by recorded delivery (which , if you read the ebay board is probably not worth paying for). Special delivery is what you need for valuables like this, but it is very pricey.
