can i use them in somerfield off anything or do i need to buy the item that they are supposed to be £5 off,,also can you put them in the self scan without buying the actual product they are intended for.thanks

I believe that Somerfield would not let you use them against other products (if they realised you had not bought the item). But on a big xmas shop who is going to notice; they should scan anyway.

But the big savings are reaally to be made at Tesco because the Somerfield vouchers scan there (even though some cashiers may turn them down, in which case keep them till next time).
