Hi there,
I have a provisional agreement on a mortgage deal and, after originally not asking for them, the bank has now requested 3 months bank statements. This I know is common practice, but having made sure my account was clean as a whistle since Jan, I logged in after a week of not checking it, to find I had gone over my agreed overdraft limit due to fees.
Will this pose a problem for the app' with the previous months looking fine, if giving the bank an explanation etc. Or will it be enough for them to turn it down?
Worried a bit now and unsure of how to play this, as am a 1st time buyer with no experience. Many thanks.

The bank will see that this is a blip, and you would be wise to hand in an explanation as to why your finances were mis-managed that particular month.
It may help if you submit more than the reqd 3 mths statement, if they are clean of course, just to help support your explanation that this blip was just that, a one off event that happens to the best of us ..!!
Hope this helps
