How about not breaking or crushing them, but putting them on a spoonful of yoghurt or ice-cream and let them slip down with that?

Otherwise, check with pharmacist whether medication comes in another form. If its a choice of daily pills or daily suppositories, you may find the motivation to control your gag reflex quite quickly!

Have to agree with Toothsmith. This was how I did it. Started with tic tacs and worked up. It's worked for me. The hardest tablets I find to swallow now are the uncoated ones - yeuch!

I have to take 8 prescription tablets a day, 6 of which are enteric coated to dissolve in my gut
. The only way I can take the is to hold them between thumb and forefinger, put my head back and drop them down my throat. I really envy people who can stick a tablet in their mouths, take a sip of water and swallow a tablet, the tablet just stays in my mouth. HTH
Good enough is good enough, and I am more than good enough!:j

If all else fails, remember, keep calm and hug a spaniel!

Has anyone tried giving a tablet to an angry cat?

    Now that's difficult! :rotfl:
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.

Everything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the end
