Credit Report Problem

Hi,

I looked at my Experian credit report the other day and they had got my address a bit wrong.
Therefore it is not showing much credit history for me. It even says that I am not on the electroral roll (which I have been for the last 5 years at this address).

By contrast Equifax shows all my history and shows that I am on the electoral roll.

I have wrote a letter to Experian with the changes they need to make, but it make take awhile.

I have had an offer on a house accepted and need to get a mortgage asap.

I've got a mortgage in principle with Leeds Building Society (who say they do a credit check before giving you a mortgage in principle). So that sounds promising. Will they do another credit check when I apply for the mortgage ?. Im also putting down £32000 which is a 20% deposit.

Im thinking of just going ahead with the Leeds mortgage and keep my fingers crossed.

Im not sure what else to do.

I'm pretty sure a full credit check is run when a full mortgage application is processed. Others may know which credit reference agency is used by Leeds.

Leeds are an Equifax only lender.

Usually they just do the one credit search like the majority of lenders.
