Job change mid mortgage offer

Hi, looking for some adice regarding changing jobs mid-way through the process. Valuations etc have now been completed and our firm offer should be arriving within the next day or so.

I have since, however, been offered another job who want me to start asap so are keen for me to hand in my notice in my current position as soon as i can (could still be weeks until we complete).

The new job does not have a probationary period. Am I safe to hand in my notice once the offer comes through, is it best to wait until we have completed or is it something that can be dealt with by the mortgage company if I am up front about it now?

I want to move to the new job asap but also dont want to do anything to jeopardise the move which has been a long time coming!!

I start a new job Monday and we have an application in. But I knew I had the job at the start of our application so I just mentioned it right from the beginning.

There hasn't been a problem (so far), the job is for more money, but obviously less secure (to a lender) because i'd been at my current job for over a year, as opposed to just starting this one next week.

Any change in the material facts affecting the lending decision should be reported to the lender at any point between application and completion.
