How does the solicitor know you have claim? What do you think you could claim for?0

You should report them to the law society. They are not allowed to cold call and can get struck off. That tells you a lot about the solicitor you are dealing with if they are happy to break the rules like that.
So, why do you think you were mis-sold?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They'll be scammers, if they have cold called you and said this, they will want money up front
How do you think you were missold or has this man told you you were missold and youve taken his word for it.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I'd be surprised if this person really was a solicitor.
As dunstonh says, solicitors aren't allowed to cold call. So - either you spoke to a solicitor prepared to break the rules, or to somebody who isn't a solicitor who is prepared to lie. In either case, you don't want to be speaking to that person again!0 -
If they ring again just say No Thank You, or tell them you have been advised that yu can do this sort of thing yourself at no cost and you have already started the ball rolling, thank you for your time, goodbye and firmly put the phone down.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

I put money on it not being a solicitor but one of these scam claims companies committing advance fee fraud.
It's turning into a popular scam. If you get called and told you are entitled to £large amount because of some made up reason but all you have to do is pay £smaller amount to get it, then its usually a scam.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
