gap 30% off gift vouchers

A friend has just told me that he saw something on television saying that business was poor in a deserted Qxford Street (London) this morning and Gap were giving 30% off the cost of gift vouchers, effectively repeating the 30% off offer of a few weeks ago - after all theres nothing stopping you buying the vouchers and spending them. Does anyone know anything about this and does it apply to all GAP stores?

This would actually be a good deal as it would be worth buying the vouchers, then using them to buy reduced goods in the sale. Although if vouchers are 30% off then this should actually be advertised somehow in store is my guess.

But I think this would be one thing Gap are worried about, which is why the "viral" jpg print out 30% off voucher excluded gift vouchers.
