TractorGirl327 thought it was getting too long so I decided to have a go at a new one!0 -
Who cares if its 1 million pages long, there is no need for a new one. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

when people scoffed it before taking a picture they came on here asking to 'borrow ' a photo and people was sharing them may have been differnt forum but it was done
But recently (at least, since I did my first shop for this client in March) we've been told to take a photo of the receipt with the job ID together with the unwrapped and uneaten sandwich. I wonder why this now isn't good enough? Why, if I didn't know any better, I'd say it's just another opportunity to try and get out of paying and reimbursing, whilst still almost certainly using the submitted report for feedback as normal!
Not sure I'll be doing any more jobs for this client - I would rather go in and buy the darned product myself without doing a hefty report, spending ages taking a good photo and worrying whether the b*ggers will still find something wrong with it! :rotfl:0 -

Apparently long threads slow the system down.0 -
Nothing wrong with having a new alerts thread imo.
And mamashaz was trying to be helpful and following the advice of a more experienced forumite. As far as I know we've always closed threads at around 200 pages because it gets too much for the system so it's not a new suggestion and to be honest Berbastrike you came across as a lil aggressive in your reply. I'm sure it wasn't meant that way as you've always struck me as one of the more reasonable forumites and I'd hate to see this issue start up another forum war when we've only just recovered from the last one0 -

I am not aggressive person. Its just easy if theres not any new threads. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

We always start new threads about the 200 page/4,000 post mark. By request of the MSE mods, because longer threads slow up the forum. So, who's going to take the plunge and start thread #21??
PS - It needs to be a regular poster who starts the thread, because you will find that during the "life" of the thread amendments need to be made to the opening posts, which obviously only the person making the post can do.We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Its easier just to leave things like they are. I don't believe long threads slow down the forum. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
