Can you go through the drive-thru on a horse?

Would make the shopper notice board more interesting though, with several car pictures and a horse :rotfl:
Naa they dont have number plates so how would the store know it was an MS'er, it could just be any old horse

It was after reading the case on MysteryShoppersUK that I decided not to take any reimbursement jobs at all. I do this as my full time job and end up paying tax.

Yes, I read that case that I read about too.

The council are happy with my accounts as they are, thank you for your concern.

It's not the council you need to be worried about, it's HRMC! Since you seem to fill your time with low paying jobs have you not tried filling your time with better paid jobs and trying to make a decent profit? There are plenty of people who do this full time and make a living out of it.

I'm sorry if it comes across as rude, but you seem to be wanting to do the minimum necessary to get as much free stuff and benefits as you can.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not concerned in the slightest what happens to you. If you choose to avoid tax then that’s your lookout
    .
  • How do HMRC know what jobs/assignments you've done?

Strangely I manage to fill my time with mainly low paid jobs and still manage to make a good living from it.

One in particular who stood up for him/herself then got put on everyones ignored list.:(

Would that be me? Don't worry about it. I don't. I'm a grown up and I left daft immature stuff like that in the playground about 25 years ago.

And it's lovely to welcome another newbie on board. You've been the first not to get jumped on so well done to everyone else and allowing a little tolerance and guidance and leaving out the nasty stuff.

I like your sentiment about this being a new start. Long may it continue.

You'll soon get to know all the acronyms and code words. But even I still don't know what egg jobs are.

Look, as a person that uses this forum to help people with their projects for our company im starting to feel like I should give up.

All this arguing is so stupid from BOTH sides. Why dont you all use your real names and then all companies can really see which of thier shoppers are acting like complete children.
Use this forum to ask help or talk about MYSTERY SHOPPING not to tell each other how to live the forum life.

If you get anoyed with people asking ther same question, leave them, you are only helping them by telling where to go, if they cant find first page then let them find it themseleves. And if you feel you have to stick up for every single person on here if they get a ‘nasty’ comment then simply apply to become member of the moderating team.

In a nut shell I think this is a great place but its to tiring to read through to see if anybody really needs any help.

I'd be even more worried about HMRC!! :p:p

I've varied my stance on reimbursement only jobs, as for example I did an RE games/music shop once that was reimbursement, and that's purely the reason I did it, as I was going to buy a present in there anyway.
I don't think with a company like RE you can argue that you have done the job for anything other than the benefit of the reimbursement when there is no fee.

However, a company such as TMDC, which most jobs are reimbursement only, at the moment I picked up one in a town 30 miles or so away, purely to gain more points in order to get up the levels so I have more pick of work, some of which will be fee paying. I think I could quite confidently argue that this was the reason for doing the job, rather than the free meal. As it happens that was a nice loss for me, as I didn't end up picking up any other work in that town for that day, so I did literally just travel for the sake of this job. Any other company and I would have rescheduled for when I could pick up some more jobs to make it worthwhile, or I would have cancelled it.
That said though, I'm not sure where I would stand on jobs with them when (or if at this rate!!) I get up to platinum, so the above argument wouldn't apply.

Oh no, we're scaring Max away :(
(Sorry if that sounded sarcastic, it genuinely wasn't!!)

Just to add, I do think it would be good to include about reading Page 1 first to the title. I understand that you're a bit limited on letters, but maybe changing "Please do not mention client names or fees on here" to "No mention of client names/fees" or something would free up some space?!?
Before the last few days I thought it already did mention that, but it's the Alerts thread that says Read the OP first. And in all fairness it is very rare that there are posts on that one which shouldn't be there so it must be working?!?
