Oh pants. Have yours been de-allocated too? I had a choice of doing Leeds (massive city) or Wakefield (smaller city), and I opted for Wakefield. Picked up a few other visits for in Wakefield too, but now won't be worth it!

PS. If anyone did the BARE jewellery shop and are intending to flog the item, EBAY has a NO FEE WEEKEND!

I'd not picked any up, but when talking to someone from TNS about another project, they asked me if I'd picked any up (before looking at my account as seeing that I hadn't). Intrigued, I asked why, and they explained.

Sorry to butt in, but I wanted to see if I can find a little encouragment!

I signed up and am ready to choose my first assignment.....but i'm scared! What if I mess it up, and I'm out of pocket? What if I don't press the button correctly on my timer (phone) and it doesn't record, making the assignment invalid and again - I'm out of pocket...?

Is the first one scary for everyone, or am I being silly?

Is it for a GAP burger place? If so the timings are the most important thing.

With any jobs I always read through the briefings and questions, and make myself notes of the most important things to look out for on a sheet of paper. I find it sticks in my mind better than printing it, and saves paper and ink!

Make your life easier by having your money ready in a pocket, I nearly dropped my phone (timer) whilst trying to get money out of my bag the first time. Plus don't forget to get a receipt, good luck :)

Of all mystery shopping things, timings I find the most difficult so it was probably a good thing the burger people failed me.

Practice is good! You should try video shopping where you might have travelled a long way and the camera can just freeze on you and stop, failing the visit, if you really want to "feel the fear"!

Good luck, it really is fun! If you worry, it's more likely to go wrong. Lots of deep breathing and visualise the process beforehand to make it flow more easily. ;)

Thank you! Yes it's for GAP, it looks pretty straightforward. One thing I can't get my head around is which timer to use. I have an Iphone, which has a timer with a lap recording button...but how would I know exactly what time it is for? Does anyone know of an app or a better way to do it?

The timing is what concerns me the most. I have a pretty good memory and a keen eye for detail so i'm not worried about evaluating other aspects. Just the phone in the hand and being discreet. Gonna practice later though!

I just use my iphone timer with the lap button, but you have to remmeber the start time, because the timer does not record that for you. I have in the past hit the 'stop' button instead of the 'lap' button, so take your time.

MYSTERIOUS GIRL, DEBSJC and SERENDIPITY have all turned me down on here. I'm not asking any more. Only so much heartbreak a boy like me can take.

My niece is very lucky, she has a good few BARE jewellery items and RE jewellery stuff too. The rest I sold on eBay and actually made a killing.

I'm gonna have to end up taking my hairdresser or someone. Or I will lose my platinum status, but that's fine I guess. Not the end of the world is it?

Well mimi I never turned you down :D although my diary is always a little tight as i'm a busy bee. Although I haven't forgotten that you owe me at minimum coffee.

Hows about, there is a weekend in september that the bf is shipping off to blackpool and i will be all alone. I will let you know when and you can wine and dine me whereever you want he he he (oh, and I obviously expect to be showered with bare gifts for attending) lol he he he and i'll pick up a train station coffee for my trip back home he he he
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!

You are all safe. I'm just gonna phone up tomorrow and cancel it. If my platinum status goes, to stuff with it.

Has anyone seen anything other than dodgy pubs, gambling shops and pharmacies on RE lately? Not seen a thing in Yorkshire. Not fair!

To be fair, I do live hours away!

Phone them up and have a chat, rather than cancel. They might be happy to let you go on your own, or change the date for you.
