I have signed up to do several email jobs with GFK now you can do quite a few for the same company. SHould these all be done through the email address you are registered with or would it be best to split the queries between different email addresses where possible? Just thinking it may arouse suspicion if lots of queries come from the same address.

Last year I was asked to do a few (about 10) over a couple of days to my insurer. I sent them from my works email address, a colleagues, my personal email address, and a made up for the occassion yahoo address - same person answered each and every one of them! Must have thought I was going mad!:rotfl:

Everyone I've ever spoken to at secret eating has been lovely. I had a nightmare when my internet went down so I couldn't file a report, and couldn't leave the house in search of wifi because I was waiting for the broadband co to phone and they were really understanding. The conversation was 'do you want fast, or thorough?' "Can we have a bit of both, please". Ok, so they did dock me 4 points for late filing, but other co.s can be so much worse. They didn't query a part of the brief I couldn't fulfil. Just as well - it's a 3 figure reimbursement.

    Wherabout in East Mids?

    Where are your postcodes set?

I set one for home (notts) one for derby city and one for centre of mansfield. Just realistic places I would do jobs quickly really.
Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

    Hi all

I posted this a while back but I think it got lost in a few other posts. Can anyone tell me the best way to get registered as self employed? I have looked at the website and it seems a little confusing - do I need to register for NI as well even though I have a FT job?

    Thanks

Mine in today, as 31st is on Sunday, so it's paid earlier.

    Hi Katty

yes, you even if you only do one job you need to register with the tax office and pay tax on your self employed earnings, I work full time too and applied for a NI exemption certificate. To register follow these steps on the HM Revenues & Customs website

    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/selfemployed/register-selfemp.htm

One other tip, they run some free courses that teach you how to fill in your books, what you can and can't claim for as expenses, I would suggest booking yourself on one of these as I found them realyl useful.

    Hope this helps.
