Tesco Money off Vouchers.

I am sure our Tesco is ripping people off. When they have money of fuel voucher like now there price at the pump goes up and even the Tesco Express store just down the road is selling petrol cheaper. But you are not allowed to use the voucher there.
Also we have just brought £44 worth of shopping less the on self offers which brought it down to £37.52
The cashier would not except the £6 pound of voucher we had. Saying we needed to buy £40 worth of shopping.
Good buy RIP OFF TESCO'S

If you have an £X off £XX voucher you ALWAYS give it to the cashier first, then you hand over the other vouchers, the total on the till has to be at least the amount on the voucher or it won't accept it. That said, it might have been worth trying at CS, depending on the mood of the person there. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0

I don't know anything about your local petrol prices so can't really comment on that, although Tesco's is always cheaper for us.
As for your voucher, it was for £6 off a £40 spend, so of course, couldn't be accepted for a spend of £37.52, in just the same way for example, a receipt of £37.52 (or even £39.99) wouldn't be accepted as a £40 spend by Morrisons during their Christmas promotion.
I understand what you are saying, but you have to take account of multibuy promotions, bogof's etc whilst you are shopping to make sure you qualify for the T&C's of your voucher by actually spending £40 at the till. It's easy to do I know, but the best solution is to quickly go & add something you always use/buy, to bring your total to £40+, coffee, toilet rolls, laundry products etc etc.
It's not just Tesco's that operate like this, your voucher wouldn't be accepted at any of the other supermarkets either I'm afraid in the same circumstances.0 -
You didn't spend £40 though, surely that's not that hard to understand?
I fail to see where they ripped you off.Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
