To be honest, I don't think Wii Play is really worth the extra money. The games are very limited, and really aren't particularly fun, to be honest. Wii sports is a much better package of games, and in my experience you'll quickly find yourself ignoring Play and going back to sports.

If you can get it for the same price as the controller on its own then give it a go, but I wouldn't recommend paying the extra for it...

why not buy a unofficial remote , play.com have some!! half price, look exactly the same!

Play.com, seem to be doing Wii sports pack for £159 with free delivery. I played Wii for the first time last night, and now I think I need one. Trouble is, you need a decent TV too? The the extra controllers, nanchuks, etc etc. So £159 is just the start...

ToysRus .....Brent Cross this morning purchased a Wii Fit..... £68.50! the guy said they had about 90 in stock delivired yesterday!

Randomly they wouldnt let me buy a Wii Console on its own it came (compulsory bundled with "The Golden Compass" £199.99! Jokers

I ended up popping across the road to Tescos Brent Cross .... no stock!! shot down to Colney hatch lane ,Finchley,

in stock Wii Console including Wii Sports and Free bundled Wii Play....£175.48! straight in the boot of my car although the guy was unsure of stock levels they had 2 on the shelf!

so just to confirm thats

Wii Nunchuck
Wii Play (with additional controller)
Wii Sports

Wii Fit

Grand Total £243.98! Be interested to see if that can be beaten before xmas... best price i have seen for these products so far in the run up to xmas

I noticed in my local Tesco this morning that they still have some Wii games marked as free when buying with a Wii console.

I splurged and bought my Wii at last. I used the HMV deal of Wii sports plus Mario cart and one free game from their choice (Tiger Woods, Fifa, etc) I spoke to the Manager and got Wii Play instead of the choice as I wanted the controller. So Wii and 3 games for £210. I could not be bothered to search any longer and it seemed a reasonable deal. Play.com upped their Wii to £199 yesterday!!

Looking for Wii Console & Wii Fit, best I can see at the moment is shopto.net @£234.89, any one know of cheaper?
Is it worth holding on till Jan \ Feb as more stores gp bust?
