Morrison's Value Nappies.

I popped in to morri's earlier to grab a few items and picked up a bag of value nappies for the change bag when out, im converted (or at least i thought i was) to cloth but didnt have enough money left for usual disposables so grabbed these.
I am impressed, I thought they would be plasticky and rubbish but They really are just like any other usual nappy, value nappies must have improved 1000 fold since I last used one.
£1.47 for 20.
Im not giving up the cloth but it cant hurt to get some extra pack in for emergencies.

Anyone know if the Tesco or Sainsbury value ones are any good?! I use both cloth and Pampers at the moment, but no good deals on the pampers on on Amazon currently, so need something cheaper!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I used the sainsburys ones with ds 2 and they were brill!! I actually preferred them to the branded ones-as they haven't got all the elasticy bits in them they tended to stay where you wanted them and i found they held mess in better-no leakage out of the sides. I have tried the tesco and asda ones but found the sainsburys ones to be so much better.
And especially when they had 1/3 off baby stuff and they work out about 97p a pack of 20! for the price they are definitley worth a try0 -
These ones (morri's) look and feel very similar to Huggies, with cloth I am changing every 2-2.5 hours which i dont begrudge at all so am quite prepared to change more often with these when out and about, I am not expecting amazing absorbancy by any stretch of the imagination.
I have heard really good things about sainsbury's V nappies too but didn't take it on board as I assumed they were still plastic rubbishy ones like the ones I had tried a few years earlier.0 -
I'd never even considered buying value nappies, even just to give them a shot. I buy Morrisons value wipes, they were 18p, but now up to 36p at the moment, and they are fantastic. I can usually get 5 packs of wipes for under £1 so hopefully they'll drop the price again.
I've still got a couple of boxes of pampers to get through but I'll definately try the nappies. Not sure if I'd try Sainsbury's basics ones, as I don't like their dearer ones as found they kept leaking. First time for everything though.2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017

I used Morrison's nappies for all three of my children (I don't think they had thhe value brand back then though). They were, as polejunkie says, very similar to Huggies.
I still use baby wipes for my son (doubly incontinent due to disability, nappies provided by PCT) - 18p Tesco wipes, 36p Morrison's wipes (depending on where I am shopping that week) are fine, altohugh even with expensive brands, I always have to use three wipes at a time. Maybe that's because he is 13, though. If I don't use three wipes, let's just say it is very unpleasant on my fingers......0 -
My experience is that cheapo nappies are just fine until baby starts to crawl - and then they'll leak like crazy and you'll want to upgrade to pampers Baby-dry. Having said that, I've just downgraded my 2-year-old to own-brand pull-ups, because they're half the price of the Pampers pull-ups and seem to work OK. I still use the Baby-dry at night though, because you just can't beat them for absorbancy.0

I found the boots nappies great when ds was tiny. newborn are 2 packs for £3 and we used them mainly before switching to cloth. tbh we rarely use disposeables now, but it's good to have some in just in case.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

I bought a pack of Sainsbury Basics nappies to give them a try (£1.24 for 20), and I'm afraid I have to give them a big thumbs down!
I'll start with the positive - they contained a big poo explosion! Hurrah! (but so do my reusables and pampers)
But now the negatives:
1. Much harder to get onto a wriggly baby, as they don't have much stretch in them.
2. They rustle and feel very plasticy - almost as if they're going to give baby quite a sweaty bum!
3. They leak wee!!
So they may be less than half the price, but in two days, I've ended up getting through twice as many, with leaks occurring within just 1 hour some times, and on top of that, I ended up with a grumpy baby who HATES having to have a wet vest changed! I didn't dare put one on over night!
I'll be sticking to reusables and pampers for now! They may cost more per nappy, but are much better value for money!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

Oh what a bummer!0 -
I cant stand cheap nappies or huggies, both mine have been through pampers only, they are alot more expensive but I love them!0
