I found this software from a vid on CNBC.
https://www.printgreener.com
Basically it automatically analyses your printing and removes pages where all you get is the web address or banner from being printed. Means I don't have so much scrap paper!
I know it doesn't save you money imediately but it's saved me a lot of paper and ink which is better for the planet.

I've set my printer to print double sided, i was amazed at how much paper it saved me when i was at uni. I've also turned the ink usage right down to the lowest possible, so ink now lasts absoloutly ages.... again i did it when i was at uni so it was more of a moneysaving exercise but also good for the enivroment too

i always print on draft too, which saves a lot of ink and is absolutely fine quality-wise (though this depends on your printer!). i keep a tray of paper by my desk for any A4 paper which is no longer needed, so there is a ready supply to print on the back of or use for making notes.Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0

Does anyone know if you can set the printer to always print on draft, I have to remember to re-set it each time. How do you set it to print on both sides?
If it makes any difference it a HP desk jet 940c.0 -
my HP PSC is set to always print on draft.
i think you need to go into control panel, then printers & faxes.
right click on your printer then printing preferences, then just select drafts.

Thanks, I tried that but it always re-set itself to best. I've put a sticker on the printer so hopefully I'll remember to do it each time.0
