You have 3 years to put in for compensation and if I were you I would wait to see how your recovery goes. I put in for compensation from my company when I had a fall that was their liability (admitted straight away), but eventually I needed 2 operations and 12 months of physio, plus other bits and pieces, so until you know how it will affect your day to day life then there's not a lot of point in claiming as you may miss out.

Asume the incident went in the acident book.

Has the surface been fixed yet.

What evidence do you have of the faulty surface.

H&S rep should be putting concerns in writing so ask for their records.

Getmore4less, the accident did go in the accident book. The surface was fixed that afternoon, but the repairs have since failed, and I have pictures of the problem areas (sorry if I'm being a bit vague, don't want to give more info than necessary). Thanks for the tip about the H&S rep's records.

Caoline_a, thank you, I knew there was a time limit, but not how long.

Emplawyer, again thank you for your advice, I think I do need to talk to a PI lawyer, to see what they suggest.

Would the H&S rep have minutes of meetings where the uneven surface has been discussed as an issue?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.
