Tried to get a deal- Tesco direct rip off

Hi,
not sure if this is the right place...
On "deals of the day' webpage, Tesco direct had an offer of Goldring Noise Cancelling Headphones. I ordered and paid for them over the bank holiday weekend.
2 weeks on- no headphones but the money (55quid) went from my CC immediately.
I called Tesco customer services and they announced there was an error with the pricing - they should have been 155quid. Apparently I should have received a phone call.
So Tesco take my money, make no attempt to call me, or refund me. In these circumstances are they not obliged to fulfil my order? As they took my money, surely this forms a contract?
Either way Tesco Direct and their customer service are crap.

No, sadly.
Unlike instore purchases, accepting the money does not form a contract. This happens only upon the item being dispatched.0 -

Consumer Rights forum maybe?0 -
They dont have to give you the product but they have to give your money back.
Unless you have received the item, they can cancel the order and refund you.0 -

Agree with you OP! I emailed the CE to get a result when Tesco CS did not honour a price shown on the website. The delivery was made, but at a higher price, with no warning!
I did get a refund but I will not readily use Tesco online again. What is the point of displaying a price if it cannot be trusted. Ridiculous!0
