Hi - I sold my house on first viewing last month and got what I wanted for it [I'd taken into account people would offer £5k off the asking price and thats what happened] - so it does happen! I've always looked after both house and gardens wherever I've been, repaired everything when it needed it and not pennypinched. I've always sold quickly no matter what the market conditions - maybe just lucky.
You sound like you have a good property there and willing to keep it looking good. Add a realistic price and you should be ok but its a funny market out there. Good luck!0 -
You sound just like me - I had sold the house in my head as soon as we got the call that we had the first viewing! 3 in one week is great - fingers crossed for you. Sounds like you have done all the right things by having a de-clutter etc. Put some fresh flowers out and then cross your fingers that they love it!0

4!!!! Nothing for over 3 weeks and now 4 in one week...
Yesterday morning on the radio it said in the news something about houseprices in London being okay or selling or something good compared to the national average. I was thinking to call my estate agent, no idea what I was going to say.
10 minutes later he called with news of the first viewing. Now we have 4! Positive Mental Attitude. I will sell my house this week0 -

South East London bordering Kent. The agent did say that we would start getting viewings this week... how could he have known that when it went on the market?? Either very good, or knew he wasn't going to start pushing it until now!0

I was also the first to view and make an offer on the property I am going to - so 2 sales made with first viewings.
I am in the South West. Sounds like London is busy at the moment.0 -
