Tesco vouchers & opticians...

I wasn't sure where to post, so please feel free to move :-)
OK, On the tesco website, they list OPTICIANS as one of the places to spend vouchers.
I HAVE paid for my husband's glasses with vouchers before (can't remember how I did it though! Just that on pickup I paid with a £5 voucher that they doubled the points for on one of their double points offers).
However now, from the T&C at Tesco, when trying to figure out HOW to pay with vouchers, I read this:
?? So what gives?

The following items cannot be redeemed against purchases on the Tesco Optician site: (a) paper Clubcard Vouchers, electronic Clubcard Vouchers (which are issued for use on Tesco.com (b) bonus coupons (which may be received with the quarterly Clubcard mailing, by email, awarded online or handed out in a Tesco store), and (c) product or discount coupons issued by manufacturers or promoters.
?? So what gives?
