    Just had a call from the mortgage adviser to say that the survey is booked for Wednesday and he should have the valuation by Friday and will look to issue the mortgage offer asap. All seems like it's going smoothly..... fingers (and toes!) crossed

    Once the valuation is back it should go to offer within a couple of days. It tends to be the cases which are pulled for audit, completely at random, which attract delays as the lender then asks for everything you can imagine.

    Most of us doing this for a living get everything we can upfront and hold it on file, just in case.
