I heard about this today on Radio2 that Tesco are offering an £18 discount if you spend £70 over Christmas - equal to almost a third off a £70 shopping bill.

Drawback being YOU can't decide to opt in, THEY choose who is invited in! In the article it does not suggest that you can access this offer if Tesco haven't chosen you.!:o0

Perhaps they will only invite people like the postman and other members of the Tesco misprice thread........

I think they are targetting people who aren't necessarily regular Tesco shoppers.
The only hope I would get of getting the discount would be to buy the voucher/gift card off ebay !!!

Hi all
I have the vouchers, but not £18 ones though:eek:
They were sent to adult daughter, still living at home. Being mum I sorted her out with a Tesco club card for the few occasions she does spend.
The first week we got a £10 voucher for a £70 spend. Then it went down to a £7 voucher for £70 spend. The vouchers are weekly untill 08/01/07.
On the same note I also have vouchers £5 off a £50 shop at Sainsbury's in my own name. They also run untill 07/01/07.
I manage to visit both stores most weeks to use the vouchers, but my shopping bill is high anyway as I often do house hold items as well or gifts.
The vouchers were sent to our house and not requested.
In Sainsbury's yesterday I was asked if I wanted to use my rewards at the till - quick as a flash my daughter said NO! that's our Easter Egg money!
Merry ChristmasIf winter comes, can spring be far behind?

"£18 discount if they spend £70 - equal to almost a third off a £70 shopping bill."
It's a nearer to a quarter, rather than a third, but would still be nice.Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -
"This is a national targeted promotion. We know that a small number of customers shop with us year-round but then, for one reason or another, try somewhere else at Christmas," he added.
Perhaps we should email Tesco and complain about being punished for being loyal to them at Chrstmas? :rotfl:Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -

I got these a couple of days ago. I got a voucher for £10 off a £40 spend, and also a gift card with £5 on it. I'm not sure why though as I'm a regular shopper
I also received a couple of weeks ago two vouchers for £10 off a £100 spend, but only at a certain tesco.
Just used these last night along with the gold clothes vouchers and 4 uniball ones too
Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker
