this is a bit of a shot in the dark, but i usually drink white rum, which is 70p a bottle cheaper in netto than any other place i know, just thinking, its prob the same with the vodka, worth a try

Buy paint stripper, it tastes better
Chekov is normally V. cheap, if you can get access to a cash & carry that'd be your best bet.
Don't be duped by Iceland's Vodka/gin etc "flavoured" spirits though (they look like spirits, but on closer inspection they're er...weird:o ), they often skank you on the ABV.
Larger supermarkets - espesh Tesco & Sainsbury do a value one that's very reasonable
