Advice on Allure win

Hi guys, just had phonecall from lady at Allure (magazine i gather!) in London saying id won a make over and photo session for me and 2 friends worth £250. only been comping 4 weeks and had various make up arrive but this is my first 'phone-call' win. cant find the original post as maybe via another comp eg Glamour or something. she wants a £35 deposit thats refunded on the day.
Does this sound right? am in London anyway for Take That and they can fit me in the day after so thinking fab as long as they dont try and push photo sells on me!
any advice welcome, thankyou x

Any company that wants a deposit for a win is not legit. I've had this phone call and I'm sure many have on here. I wouldn't do it. They do try and push you to buy photos and they don't do a good job (I went to one years ago...same thing happened but I didt have to deposit.)
    I would advise against it :) x

Thanks for your adviice, definitely dont want a 'hard work' win and probably only come away with a small freebie photo after lots of pressure to buy more prints! they have a facebook page but no members and their website is all geared for photo sessions and no pricings up so doesnt sound like a genuine 'win' as such! x

BTW, I got one of those phone calls today, too. Phone number 0207 494 9642 - was a bit suspicious (as I didn't think I would've entered this sort of comp, as it's not really my thing) until she started talking about a deposit, then I knew it was one of 'those'. Fobbed her off by saying I didn't have any cards handy - hopefully they won't pester me too much!

Just realised they are one of the advertisers on the 'pick me up' comps so must have incorrectly ticked the 'no thanks' button i expect!
