Hi;
Does anyone know what training / qualifications are need to work within environmental health. I currently do this on a smallish scale in work but would like to do it on a more permanent basis i.e. within local government.
I currently have a BA (Hons) in Business and I wonder if there is anything I can do to top this degree up in the required areas for Environmental Health.
Thanks

If you want to become a registered Environmental Health Officer I suggest you look at Chartered Institute of Environmetnal Health website. (sorry was not allowed to post website addresses!)
Basically you will need to aquire an Environmetnal Health Degree, I would suggest a MSc seeing that you already have a degree, look at the Derby course, very flexible, and you could study whilst in your current job.
Once you have a degree you will need to undertake professional training and sit CIEH exam, Professional Interview and complete a log book of experience.......this is the more difficult and time consuming bit!
Hope this helps!0
