Popcorn maker @ £12.99 @Lidl

My daughter has a high school musical one of these which we use at least once a week. My kids will quite happily eat the popcorn plain so it makes a nice healthy snack. There are various recipe ideas available on the internet if you want to liven (fatten ) it up.

Popping corn is readily available in all supermarkets, for around £3.00 but this will last you ages and saves a load of money over microwave alternatives.

Not everyone has a Lidl and stock may have gone, Amazon have a good selection, nothing as cheap though.

Why not save yourself the money buy buying a gadget that will sit in the cuboard. We use a saucepan with a lid on it, we have used this method several times with brill results.:rotfl:Its only Moneysaving.....:money:

1,000 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I have been looking for a decent priced popcorn maker as we eat it a lot cheers :j

I used to make on the gas ring in a saucepan fine but try doing it on a halogen, really time consuming as the heat is not constant like gas and i usually end up burning it :(

Love it with homemade caramel sauce.

i currently do mine on the cooker in a pan like you but i'd like an air popper as they use a tiny amount of oil compared to what is need to pop in a pan so that can be a good reason to get a popper, though i'd say with poppers only those that really like popcorn should bother with one

i've had hot air poppers before and i also find they pop more kernels overall so i prefer them for that reason as well but to each there own

I've been after a popcorn maker for ages,

Microwave stuf costs too much, and as we have an electric cooker, we end up burning the pan.

I'll have to have a nip along and see if they have any.
