??? is visa debit the same as visa electron? I had a solo card for the last couple of years and it was great, could use it everywhere i shopped, even online. now my banks has seen fit to give me a visa electron card. Is this regarded as a step down, a step up, or sideways? I thought hardly took electron these days.

visa electrons different from a visa debit. You can only use it at shops where they show the visa electron logo.
I had the smae problem when my halifax solo card changed to a visa electron. I switched to natwest though which offer solo cards.Treat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0
