Quidco

Options
Hi everyone,

I have not been on this site for quite a while. I would like to get back into saving/making money though.

Is it worth joining the bingo sites from quidco, to benifit from the cashback? I have just seen on gala, if you put in £10 they give you £20. is it worth doing? Or not worth my time?

Also, the lovefilm offer, they give you £15 for joining and then cancel the offer? Would I benifit from any of these?

I am currently on mat leave and am having 2 months unpaid leave. So would like to build up a bit of money to help us out when we are one wage down.

Last of all, is it worth selling stuff on ebay? Everything that I have which I would like to sell, it does,t seem to sell on ebay.

Sorry for the big post, if any of you can help with anything money making worth doing, I would be very greatful.

Thanks for reading.

Those offers would definitely work but it does take AGES to get the cashback. Most of my cashback is taking about 2-3 months to get to me so you'd have to be ok with a long wait.

    Definitely worth doing them though.

Thanks for that. Will have to decide if it will be worth it in the long run. As you say, I will be out of pocket for a few months. And we are wanting to save as much as possible at the moment.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Another site like those that is recommended by MoneySavingExpert on their article about them is FatCheese so maybe you could join that one as well? The more the merrier, I say, as long as they're recommended.

personally I would avoid fatcheese for now. I have tickets and emails unanswered since the middle of May.

They have not paid out on transactions for last year with a particular merchant despite their website saying that for this particular merchant all cashback has been paid up to a December...

"live chat" times out when it is available. like most of these sites, they started out good, but have tailed off into poor second cousins of TCB and Quidco.

I use quidco, but only for things I'd do anyway - we buy a lot of things on ebay, and other online retailers, not to mention sorting out insurances etc online, all of which you can get cashback for. If you do things online, it's worth finding a cashback site to use, then at least you're getting some of your money back!

I have made about £2000 on Quidco but over 4 years and that includes big purchases like xmas, car insurance, home insurance, mobiles and sky, its really not a money making site and its more for savings.

Ebay - if your things aren't selling maybe youare charging too much - compare the item before you list it and check postage costs, I made £108 on ebay in june and then £15.50 last week and £39 this week not including postage etc, thats just unwanted clothes.
