Currys have the Morphy Richards 42271 available to reserve in store for £29.99. Mrs balloonist picked on up in Worcester yesterday. Seems to be half the next on line price and you can buy this from Tesco for a whopping £120.

have just rang this is a discontinued item - the odd store have a couple - so worth checking in store even though website says out of stock

Thanks! Didn't get this one but got a nice wee Russell Hobbs one for cheap! My iron has been leaving beautiful brown marks on everything! X

it is showing on the pooter as being out of stock and not available online to order but guess it depends on luck of draw on who you speak to when you get through - the chap I spoke to said it was showing out of stock but he said he would contact the local store and asked me to hold - when he came back to me he said yes there are two in that store - has reserved one for me - off to pick it up!

This model is NOT a pressurised steam iron.
I would recommend getting at least a 4.5bar pressure iron.
The Tesco price is a joke, pressurised irons (Bosch etc.) can be bought when on offer for under £80 - good ones.

I went to my local currys who had none left but told me a store 3 miles away had 2 left.I didnt go immediately because its pouring and the kids were fed up.I rang currys when i got home to be told by some man that it was out of stock.I reminded him that he hadnt taken a model number or even knew what the item was, so how could he have checked :mad:
I will go to the store tomorrow and if its there its there. Cr*p telephone service.

Thanks so much OP, I don't know if it's a good one or not, but I'm going to give this a go as I need a new iron anyway. There's a chip out of mine, that's not good is it?

I rang CS and, after quite a long time, they gave me another number to ring. The person on this number eventually got through to my local store who have one left. They are going to reserve it for me until tomorrow closing, it was to late for me to get to store before they closed today.
