Re-Mortgage

Hi All
Im looking for some advice if possible more than anything to put my wife's mind at rest.
We applied for a re-mortgage approx 2 weeks ago through the Bank.
Since then everything seems to be moving very fast exactly the oposite to what we were expecting.
We spoke to the Mortgage advisor on a Tuesday, she took us through the process filled a few details in and we left with a bundle of papers, one of which was a personal illistration of the re- mortgage which suited us best .
2 days later the valuation was done and the same day a letter from the Bank's Solicitors arrived which we filled in and posted back.
The following Monday 6 days later we were called back in to see the mortgage advisor re one querry about my wife's salery which was sorted over the phone.
She then stated we needed a joint account for the residue of the monies to be transfered into, no problem there, then we left again, later that night I noticed that on my on-line banking page the new Bank Account was up and running with an overdraft as well.
On Wednesday last week we had a phone call from the Mortgage advisor again and she was talking about Insurance, she went to great lengths to state that we didnt have to take the banks insurance but wants us to go in on Tuesday with details of any insurance we wish to use ie buildings insurance.
We have asked a few times if we are defeinately going to get this re-mortgage (which in all honesty will sort out our financial problems which have been caused through being ripped off by a builder), but she will not commit herself to a yes, all we get is there seems to be no problem.
I am of the opinion that we will get it, but my wife is not so sure, we have not had any offer from the Bank yet.
I would be greatful for any comments as to our chances sorry for the long winded post
