Is it worth the hassle to join to get items such as nappies etc in bulk? Are the savings worth it?
I'm thinking specifically of Booker & Costco.

Bookers is free to join if you have a business, they sell branded and euro shopper and happy shopper ranges which are well priced. often have daz washing powder 90 wash on offer for £9! some stuff is not much better than tescos bogof offers. ours has lots of whoopsies which are great0

My mum is a member of costco as she used to work for the local council, which apparently means you can become a member,I am allowed in with her but just have to pay by cash or get her to buy for me and then give the money to her.
I tend to find you get the occasional absolute bargains on things, toilet rolls, nappies, crisps, meat etc, especially when they have them on special offer, I got 12 cans of coconut milk (admittedly a year or so ago, havent seen them since
) for just over £4, they are selling at the supermarket at the mo for over £1.70 each!! Wish I'd bought more at the time, but didnt realise how good the deal was!!
Their food , IMO, seems to be of a very good quality especially their meat, so a pack of fresh mince although wont necessarily be cheaper than supermarket offers, seems to have less water and fat content so you need less per portion.
Anyway, I go once a month and am a great fan

I am a member at both Costco and Makro. we have 3 children and never bought nappies etc form either of them we just bought extra nappies when they were on offer at the supermarkets. The way I checked prices was to work out the individual price. the packet sizes can vary hence the individual unit price calculation.0
