    Hi

I use washing powder and softener,
    bleach for the toilet,
    window cleaner ( sometimes ),
and for everything else I dilute some tesco multi purpose cleaner into a spray bottle.

    Hope that helps.

I don't understand what stardrops is - help please!

We have a lot of painted surfaces, the JML Magic Eraser is brilliant at getting rid of scuff marks. You just use water with it.
Thank you we have just bought one:)
    An average day in my life:hello: :eek::mad: :coffee::coffee::coffee::T :o :rotfl: :rotfl: :p :eek::mad: :beer:
I am no expert in property but have lived in many types of homes, in many locations and can only talk from experience.
  • I have used Stardrops for the first time today! Bought on all the recomendations from this site and have to say its pretty fab!

I know what you mean Bexstars, I really challeneged it with blackcurrant on the fridge which I had tried every potion on and it got rid of it. Passed the test :)

Tescos and pound shops do cheap versions of the erasers. Careful on painted surfaces, I've known it to remove the paint too!
One day I might be more organised...........

Stardrops and microfibre cloths for cleaning
A spray of stardrops solution and a rub with superdrug laundry soap for laundry stains
soapnuts and a couple of spoonfuls of washing soda for laundry followed by vinegar and lavender oil for rinse.
    vinegar for limescale
    tea tree oil for disinfectant
    ecover washing up liquid
    .... er ... that's it

For the first few weeks I thought i had forgotten something as i left the cleaning aisle with so few products :)

I've found out its the cloth thats the secret ;) damp or wet microfibre cloth cleans most things. I do use Stardrops on some jobs and I keep a bottle of bleach but other than that my cupboard is empty now.

  • Another one who used to have half of Tescos under the sink!
All i have down there now is:
    washing powder
Tesco value washing liquid for the dishwasher
    Microfibre cloths
Those sponges with the green pad on the other side
    Stardrops
    Zoflora
    Bleach
I have a spray bottle with a wee bit of stardrops, a wee bit of Zoflora (more for the nice smell than anything else!) and filled up with water. I find this tackles most "jobs"
