Simple - Stardrops & microfibre cloths. Maybe a bit of bleach and I also have zoflora in a spray bottle with water for antibac but that is all I really use. Can get all the above in tesco/asda. There is a huge thread on startdrops and seeing the light so do a search (although sure some one more techie minded will add a link). Shogs

STOP! Before you go out & buy anything else, use up what you've got already.
I have stardrops neat & diluted, a spray of 1/2 white vinegar & 1/2 water, bleach & washing up liquid. That's about all I ever use.

    Hi twinklybev,

    These older threads might help:

    urgent! - basic cleaning kit

    Save Zillions On Cleaning Products

Also have a look in the Cleaning Section of the Mega Index thread for lots of cleaning product alternatives. Though as Lucie has said, do use what you have up first.

Yes I am working through my tescos/asda cleaning section which ended up in my cupboads at the minute so I know how you feel. My first OS challenges are my cosmetis, toiltries, food and cleaning cupboard to be used up! Stardrops cleans better than all of them, I bought some to try. Maybe I'll have enough room under the sink for the stardrops when it's all used up :) (thats a double cupboard aswell and packed to the door)
One day I might be more organised...........

i have a bottle of stardrop's, bleech , white vinegar , clothes , soda crystals and some odd cleaning products that i bought a while back that i am using up.
  • I have Stardrops, Sugar soap, Ajax ('cos I have a pot sink) and some bleach in the Loo - and loads of different microfibre clothes. Like the other posters I am working through some of the older non OS stuff but to be honest a lot has been chucked as the spray bottles were more use to me than the contents.

The quicker you fall behind, the longer you have to catch up...
  • I too am a stardrops convert ,microfibre cloths too.Although I must admit I still use window spray on bathroom mirrors:shhh:

 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast
  • I don't understand what stardrops is - help please!

We have a lot of painted surfaces, the JML Magic Eraser is brilliant at getting rid of scuff marks. You just use water with it.
