Unemployment whinge support

Hi Everyone, I did a search for some kind of support group here for people who are unemployed and did find the support each other in unemployment thread, but haven't been able to find one relating to being able to "vent" about stuff... ie general feelings, fears , frustrations etc. Having been in this situation with my hubby and myself losing jobs I know how soul destroying it can be for someone who is the bread winner, provider to be in a situation where there is guilt, feelings of failiure etc.
My hubby lost his job yesterday and I have tried to be very positive that things happen for a reason and that this door has closed, but another one will open. The truth is that I do have real fears about how we are going to cope. Yeah, I know it is very important to talk things over and share things, but I have had a few blubbing sessions today as things have started to sink in and I know it affected hubby a bit.
Sooo this is for anyone who needs to vent , moan, groan .... and no matter how positive you can be, there are also times of fear, worry, discouragement.
Share away ....

How is this thread any different to the other one?0

OP if its a vent then most people post in the vent, if you want support then the thread you mentioned is fine, if you want help with cutting your outgoings then check out the debt free wannabe board0

The other thread that Drea started allows people to do just that. Why don't you join them? All the people are in the same boat and help each other when they are feeling low. It really is a lovely thread with loads of lovely people on!0

Debts: 8000 (student loan so doesnt count)
new target savings by Feb 2010: 30,0000 -
Oh, ok .... granted, I did not read all 175 pages of the other thread, but the gist of what I did read was about applying for jobs, interviews etc. My also bad because I did not see another vent thread. I also consider myself "told off" for starting another topic.0

we all learn from mistakes, the vent board is further down the list, i think the main idea of the support each other is just that, you talk about the situation eg if you have had an interview or found many jobs to apply for so that kind of thing0 -

Please don't feel told off, I really don't believe that anyone was trying to do that, I think that peole were just trying to direct you to the best place to receive a greater response and support, because it sounds as if you really do need some. Take a peek in the other threads that have been mentioned, I think that you'll get a lot out of them. I hope things pick up for you soon.0 -

Yeah, I guess the "emotions" are a bit out of wack right now
Apologies if my reply seemed arsey LOL.0 -

That's OK.
But you really should pop into the other support thread, it's not just about job hunting, people pop in when they're feeling down in the dumps or just want a whinge or just need some inspiration or motivation, it really is a lovely welcoming thread. Also take a look at the other threads mentioned, especially Food Shopping, you'll pick up so many tips on how to cut back and hear of bargains that you never knew about, it can be quite fun, and you'll be amazed at how much money you can save. Anyway, chin up, and go and get yourself some Ben and Jerry's ice cream and pig out.0 -

Thanks ...I will do that.
Erm .... Budget will not quite stretch to Ben and Jerry's right now, but I do have 2 litres of Co-Op ice cream in the freezer.
I am an experienced bargain hunter already, and have the ability to feed the 5 thousand on a few loaves and some fishies, but I am open to learning lots more.
Off to barbecue ( or in my native South African language . BRAAI ) some meat and enjoy a few pre unemployment bulk bought bargain beers.
Enjoy the rest of your evening.0
