We went for Ecclesiastical. Mainly due to the fact that they were one of the only wedding insurers to pay out duirng last years ash cloud. Plus, they are a company owned by a charity and surplus profits go back to the charity.:jProud mummy to a beautiful baby girl born 22/12/11 :j0

I am also thinking of using Ecclesiastical as wedding insurance,i take i would also need travel insurance too?
What i need to know when is best to take this wedding insurance out?I have only got a deposit down on my place of stay for wedding, but will be paying the full amount in the next 10 days or so.
I also have paid a deposit to the wedding planner, and booked our reception which has not involved any money yet.
We have still to meet up with our wedding planner to see what things we want for our big day so not sure or have an idea of what we will be spending for that day,so would i be best waiting till i have an idea of the cost of the day or can you still get insurance without having to know what the big day cost will be,i am in the process of getting the paper work for the marriage done, but nothing yet has been sorted out as in what i will be spending.please advise as im sure the sooner the wedding insurance is purchased the better,as who knows whats around the cornerTreat everyday as your last one on earth! and one day you will be right.0

            Hi,
The sooner you get the insurance the better. We have already got our & not really paid anything out yet. With Ecclesiastical there are different tears of insurance levels so I just picked the one that suited, as I know it won't be over a certain amount. You don't need to take their travel insurance but I beleive you will need seperate travel insurance as i'm sure it does not cover the flights & hotel for the wedding in the wedding insurance. I can't remember what it says now, but we have a annual travel policy anyway so covered anyway.
When are you meeting with your planner, would be intrested to hear how it all went. Can't wait to meet our at the end of the year.Married the man of my dreams - 10th September 2012, St Paul's Bay Lindos :jIt was amazing. 0 0

            Ecclesiastical here as well
Dont forget with insurance (not just wedding) cheap is not always the best. Cheaper ones tend to drag their feet, will start looking at obscure loopholes to get out of paying out...0

We used E&L. Can't comment on claims as we didn't have to make any, but they sent us all the paperwork promptly and they were the cheapest we could find.0
