Saga
Saga is launching a YouTube video competition for its 60th birthday. Total Prizes: £15,000
We are looking for entertaining, interesting videos, less than 2 minutes long, which give a positive, upbeat view of life beyond 50 – and change how people think. We want to promote understanding between generations, and challenge perceptions about age. Top prize £10,000 – closing date 30th October 2011 but early submission will be an advantage – see below.
One of the factors in assessing the winners will be the potential influence of the video. As part of this, we will monitor online interest in each video. This includes the number of views, the quantity and nature of comments, ratings and how long the video holds the audience's attention.
The judges will include Saga's Director General Dr Ros Altmann, together with media and communications experts. Media Enquiries: Saga Press Office.
Videos that pass an initial screen test will be published to our being 50 YouTube channel. To see what other people have created visit www.youtube.com/being50.
