  • Sorry to bring up this old thread but my husband is due a £20000 lump sum payment from his local authority pension and then a monthly pension of £600 approx. We have two children at uni, I realise the monthly pension payment will need to be declared on our self employed tax return / student finance form but what happens about the £20k, if it's taken into account neither son will get any grants. Does anyone know the answer? Student Finance Wales are shockingly useless!
