    Woolies really are pants

    Why are they ?
  • The girlfriend works in town so I got her to pop in to Woolies and ask if they have any instock. They did so while she was in the store I ordered online and chose instore delivery. Got an e-mail confirmation within a few minutes. She took the number to customer services and now has the telly paid for and in their stockroom waiting for me to collect it this afternoon.

All you need is a bit of smart thinking guys and you can find yourself a loophole.

    Brilliant :D

Hmmm call me cynical but it all went through pretty quickly. I can't believe you had time to do all that. If so, then good luck to you. Would like to see a pic of collected goods though:rotfl:
  • I'm sure woolworths have done this on purpose.
They are going to get seveal thousand contact details and signups to their site and they don't even have to honour the agreement. Its like threshers 40% off. They hiked the prices up before putting the voucher on the internet so with the 40% off its similar to buying drink from the supermarkets.
If you're feeling down, you must be holding a duck.

  • So if they are already sending out these emails, they are obviously aware of it - or certainly should be! So why have they still got it available and in stock? I ordered one not 20 minutes ago!

I only joined to let everybody know Lovefilm's 0800 number and got sucked into this! How does anyone get any work done around here?

Er... you haven't actually got the tv yet then?? I wouldn't be too hopeful. If it was there and paid for i would have asked a staff member to take it outside the store and for your girlfriend to sit on it until your arrival!!

Or order a taxi to come and get it with your girlfriend and slip the taxi driver a tenner to do all the lifting.

Too many things can go wrong and for woollies to wiggle out of it.

Until you have that tv at your home...............
