How much for tree-felling

Options
Hi

Was wondering how much I should be looking to pay to have a tree-felled? Am really talking only of a back garden job, 4 metres high, likely to hit house if felled from the bottom, or what generally the going rate is to cut small or big trees.

Thanks in advance.

Hi recently had 4 very large trees (50 ft+) pollarded - not cut down but reduced to a shorter say 3 metre stem & some off shoots . Cost £500 took 4 men most of the day with specialist equipment. But great job, All bits & pieces removed

If you get someone to take the tree down ask them to leave the branches and you can sell them for firewood on Gumtree and get some of your money back.

I'll get his number, but it would need to be a big tree as he'll be travelling 40 miles....what size is the tree?
    Is he insured?

no, but he knows how to fell trees, wouldn't that be enough?

It's not just 1 tree, it's about 30-40 conifers (approx 25-30ft each) if that's of any interest?

    30-40 conifers!

Feller will need a heavy duty wood chipper and take away the substantial green waste for you

This guy Chris has all the equipment (and is insured).

I have used him several times, very pleased with his tidy work and price
