Can unsecured creditors force me into bankruptcy?

Yes, they can. I dont know a great deal about this, but others will be able to tell you more about it.

Personally, Im not too sure why you dont maximise your earnings. 600 gross for consultancy also doesnt sounds a great deal a month - at your level Id expect youd be able to clear that a week
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast

sorry to hear about your situation...

on the food/housekeeping note.. i have a family of 4 (myself, OH and 2 kids) and our food/ cleaning stuff is £200-£250 per month.. if you then allow £50 for clothing etc you should be able to manage on £300...

one thing that's helped me cut down on our food bill (it used to be as high as £80 a week!) is to write a meal plan before going shoping, that way you can plan your meals to include stuff you've already got and as you know what your getting you don't buy excess that you don't need.. remember by one get one free's are there to tempt you!
also if you cut out things like crisps, coke and sweets then you'd save alot. my children only have sweets on special occasions or when they visit thier grandparents.. and their behaviour is 10X better since we cut those things out too..
