A really MSE idea would be to not decorate!
Churches are so pretty anyway, and the pews are usually slightly carved & look nice as they are.0 -
I certainly wouldnt spend out on them. We were lucky as we had the easter flowers in our church.
If you wish to decorate some of the organza/voile (sp?) type material in a bow on every other one would be cheap and very pretty? x:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

If you really want decoration then you could have a pew end flower arrangement on maybe either the front pew either side or the first 2...making either 2 or 4 arrangemenys and then add bows up the aisle on alternate pews thats what we did...but in all honesty its not something that people see for a large part of the day...although after the service we did remove the ends and take them and use them as part of the floral decorations at our reception...although not all chruches are happy for you to remove the flowers..they like to appreciate them as your gift to them...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

It would be rainbowdrops, good idea!! I just want to make it look a little more wedding-y if you see what I mean? This is the inside of our church and I just want to 'brighten it up' a little, as much as I love it. We did think about flowers but I can't justify the expense.

No idea what sort of thing you want ...but when ive typed "pew ends" into an ebay search its bought up 197 matches...ranging from bows to flowers to wooden heart keepsakes which could be handed out to family afterwards...have a look there may be something there in your budget that inspires you...frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Other than flowers, can't think of anything.
I think the church is beautiul, plus when it's full of guests it'll look instantly weddingy!
My sister married in a church & didnt have any flowers, and it didn't feel any less weddingy than ones I 've been to where the church has been filled with flowers.0 -

I did this on alternate pew ends, We tied the organza around florists wire we hooked over the pews as the pews were square topped and we couldnt tie around.
I have the ivory organza strips still if you want them (They were cut from a roll so I dont think I can sell them along with everything else!), just PM me your address.0 -

every other pew end in my church has what looks like a big handle so i thought i would get my friend to make those big floristry ribbon pull bow things and put them on the ends (so only needing 14 instead of 28)
my friend has slowly got more and more immobile since we first talked about it and probably couldnt do this anymore but when i was thinking what to replace it with i realised we had bought loads of big sparkly pre made bows in the after christmas sale so im going to use them instead,
they looked purple at the time but compared with all our other true purple bits they look a bit pinky, so i dont mind using them at the church instead of messing up the colour scheme at the reception!0 -
