has anyone taken part in this?
My DD is interested but we are finding the website a bit confusing (the FAQ page is broken, for a start!)
So, basically we are trying to find out how complicated it is to join in? Also, is there any age restrictions as she is only 16?
Any experince or advice welcome!
Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the minimum age is 16
I think you basically help out in the community and then get to go and see a concert for free but I'm not sure if you can do that work anywhere or whether you have to go to a specific place? (London maybe?) Sorry I can't help much!2012: £10 Valued Opinions voucher ♥0 -
I just took a look at the website and it says a minimum age of 16 to sign up, once you have signed up (your daughter) you can then check which locations the offer is available and it sounds like a trade of 4 hours volunteer work for a voluntary organisation in your area, this cannot be directly connected with Orange Rock Corps and when you post your story on the site you will get a Ticketmaster voucher to go to a gig of your choice (am assuming this is just for one ticket and it is only one ticket per person), there are only a few gigs to choose from. You need to post the story on the site to actually join the Corps.
By the way, the FAQs page is working fine and has lots of information, I'm using IE 9, if you still can't get the link to work (given below) then maybe try a different web browser:

Hi Fiscalfreckles!
I have participated in Orange Rock Corps voluntary projects twice last year and have just signed up for another project next week. I have to say they do a fantastic job of organising these projects and have been very impressed at every stage of my participation. I think it's a great way of introducing teenagers to volunteering as the gigs I've been to as 'reward' have been brilliant. Plus it felt like a very safe, friendly environment both times. I'm really looking forward to my next project, which is helping out at Oxjam, and to the gig in July. I hope this has helped reassure you that it is a very worthy thing for your DD to do and that she will be well looked after. One little thing, sometimes finding the places can be tricky, so either go with her or get her a good map! I hope she has fun!0
