Hi,

when answering questions with regards to getting credit should I answer living with parents or rented, I do pay rent so I would only be twisting the truth.

would lenders be more likely to give credit to someone living with parents or renting?

thanks

If you're living with your parents, you're not really paying rent (more like a cheap holiday... lol). If you couldn't come up with the weekly contribution, would they evict you?

IMO If you're living with parents the assumption would be you're paying less than somebody renting. Thus you'd have more disposable income & be a better credit risk.

Have to agree with Andy L. The other thing about living with parents, as I have found in the past, is that because you share their address you could benefit from their credit rating (assuming it was good). I was offered platinum credit cards straight off because my house was deemed low risk as my parents had good credit - I didn't take it up but am rewarded by their good credit.
