Ghastly toilet under-rim (Don't read if eating)

Vykal (?) SPRAY works well and doesn't drip straight away like liquid stuff. We had an old outside toilet not used for years and brown all down inside (Limescale only!!) Emptied the water out and used this stuff and a knife to chip away the thick coating, and it came up sparkiling white. Lots of repetitions and elbow grease needed, and I use this stuff routinely in my cleaning as in a hard water area and the cest stuff I have found.0

Limelite's another good one. The gel's much thicker than normal toilet cleaner and you can actually see the limescale breaking off in chunks. Just be careful not to get it near metal or enamel.skintlass wrote:I have to add my recommendation for the marigolds as I switched to this method after watching how clean is your house - works for me even if I don't enjoy doing it, I don't even need a scourer just a sponge pad thingy.
I've always used this method - extra-tough gloves and a nylon scrubby sponge. I do still own a loo brush, though; I think anyone with a man in the house either has one, or has skidmarks - there ain't no way you can get a man to stick his hands down a loo, gloves or no gloves!0
