Stone Jar for making meat roll/loaf

I would like to start making my own meat roll/loaf, as buying cold meat for sandwiches etc is getting too expensive. We used to get home made meat roll cold with a salad, hot with gravy and veg and also used on sandwiches, so its very versatile:T
I have hunted everywhere for an oldfashioned stoneware jar that you put the mixture in, then put it in a pot with water and simmer away for a while, however I cannot find one for love nor money.
One of the charity shops said she had two recently but were snapped up and I am not the first person looking for one this week!!!! Are we all on the same mission??????????;)
Can anyone give me any pointers as to where I can get one??? please.

Ask on Freecycle and freegle, but look on ebay to make sure of the sizes you want etc.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z # 40 spanner supervisor. No problem can withstand the assault of sustained thought.Only after the last tree has been cut down. Many thanks for the thread, but when I searched earlier similar items came up and the majority are for utensils etc, and I am unsure if they are like the old piggy clay ones and would stand the heat over a couple of hours, and would they be of a quality for cooking food inside?
will post on freecycle just now, and will keep looking!! I didnt realise how difficult it would be to get one.Every days a School day!0 -
Hi suzybloo,
As your thread has fallen down the board I've moved it over to the I wanna board to see if you can get more replies.
