Our Morrisons stopped selling value dishwash tablets.

Used to always buy theese as the work just as well as the
brand ones

  • I'd been using Finish tablets for once as I got a big box at a discount price, but half the time they weren't dissolving properly. Then I noticed the TV ads for the 'newest super easy dissolve' Finish tablets which are powder in a gel case and started to go all conspiracy theorist about it - had they deliberately made the old tablets dissolve poorly to encourage me to spend even more on the new ones?<g> And then I went a stage further and thought 'why not just go back to using powder?'

I will never buy tablets again. Cheapest own-brand powder in a giant size, + actual rinse aid + salt = best dishwashing I've had for years and no little wrappers to throw away either. The big heavy container was hard to pour from so I decanted a smaller amount into an old sports drink mixer bottle with a cap and pourer.

Why did we all get convinced that tablets were better anyway?
