If tesco are allowing these vouchers to go through i dont see how someone taking advantage of it is exploiting it, but i guess each to their own
each to their own as has been said, and i am not taking any side on this argument i like the fence i sit on!
however it could also viewed another way
is tesco then exploiting Dove as by taking them and and any other other vouchers that are not 100% as per t and c too,0 -
this is for a deodorant - surely there was more greed involved in the tesco dtd with people stocking their lofts than someone having too many dove deodorants.
i appreciate people take advantage of glitches but for most of us it allows us to spend the money we've saved elsewhere in the shops or allows us treats that we wouldn't normally get.
not everyone is greedy - just penny watching now!!! please don't judge people if you don't walk in their shoes!!0 -
Surely for every person who uses X amount of vouchers there are a lot more shoppers who buy the product without a voucher so it would even out?0
-
The Other point to note, is some people are calling it exploiting, but for every voucher that is used - probably 50 units are sold with no coupon used. But the link is available for all to use. Dove would of set a maximum number of coupons for issue, so as long as people are not copying coupons, then there is no exploiting going on.
It's just when you print more than one, you are using someone else's coupon (who would likely never even know the link existed).0 -

Thats the point I was trying to make but you explained it so much better than I did0 -

exactly, well put and how many times have you noticed overcharges in tesco ( as we are discussing them) got a refund if you noticed and been back the next day and price still wrong, now that is exploiting people,0 -

I AM penny watchin too , believe me! ... hence my previous note about living hand to mouth on benefit but I didn't do the Tesco DTD loophole thing and didn't agree with the greediness of THAT ''offer'' too
Why not just stick as close to the T&C's as possible , one per person , understand wangling a few extra but 40 , thats just OTT and is taking the **** and milking it for all they can get
I LIKE TREATS TOO but don't feel comfortable milking retailers for all I can get and am on a TIGHT budget , believe me!
''Penny watching'' is STILL no excuse for greed!0 -
Can we agree to disagree on this? I really appreciate you posting this offer and for reasons that I don't feel the need to publish, I have gotten the extra to donate.
I'm not living hand to mouth, I'm not on benefits but I'm also not laying it on thick. People will take advantage where possible and it is up to each individual to justify their own actions to themselves.
As for DTD, I'm not sure exactly which loopholes you are referring to but I hope you at least took part and gained some treats to help with your restricted budget.0 -
Alot of 'passing the buck' going on , excuses etc and yes they ARE going through the tills but that doesn't mean everyone has to take the **** , we can all have a 'treat' from this offer , nice one ... but saying ''I'm using the ones that other people who don't see this offer wouldn't use'' is just a cover up / excuse as we all have our own responsibility for the choices / decisions we make and trying to justify what is blatant exploitation won't work with the retailer who stated one per person other wise they might as well have said ''print and use as many as you want and have a proper free for all''
Write to Dove and ask them if they are fine if you print out and use around 40 vouchers to make up for the people who didn't see / know about the offer and see what they say!! ;-)
( Also ask them if they mind you printing out 40 vouchers to donate some to charity and see what they say then too )0 -

I'm not ''laying it on thick'' ... I have been on this forum for over a year now and this is the first time I have even mentioned my circumstances and that was only because of the comment about ''some people might be on a tight budget , thats why they do it''
And , no , I didn't take part in DTD but am still happy with the bargains I do get!!:D
